Contractors and Third-Party Operators. Developer shall require all Contractors and Third-Party Operators to carry insurance naming the City as an additional insured and meeting all of the above requirements except amount. The amount shall be commensurate with the amount of the applicable contract or subcontract, but in no case shall it be less than $2,000,000 per occurrence. All Contractors or Third-Party Operators selling alcoholic beverages shall carry liquor liability insurance coverage of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence and a $3,000,000 aggregate. Developer shall provide copies of such insurance certificates to the Director.

  • Contractors and Subcontractors Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988 1) Publish and give a policy statement to all covered employees informing them that the unlawful manufacture, distribution, dispensation, possession or use of a controlled substance is prohibited in the covered workplace and specifying the actions that will be taken against employees who violate the policy. 2) Establish a drug-free awareness program to make employees aware of a) the dangers of drug abuse in the workplace; b) the policy of maintaining a drug-free workplace; c) any available drug counseling, rehabilitation, and employee assistance programs; and d) the penalties that may be imposed upon employees for drug abuse violations. 3) Notify employees that as a condition of employment on a federal contract or grant, the employee must a) abide by the terms of the policy statement; and b) notify the employer, within five (5) calendar days, if he or she is convicted of a criminal drug violation in the workplace. 4) Notify the contracting or granting agency within ten (10) days after receiving notice that a covered employee has been convicted of a criminal drug violation in the workplace. 5) Impose a penalty on or require satisfactory participation in a drug abuse assistance or rehabilitation program by any employee who is convicted of a reportable workplace drug conviction. 6) Make an ongoing, good faith effort to maintain a drug-free workplace by meeting the requirements of the act.

  • SUBCONTRACTORS AND SUPPLIERS The Commissioner reserves the right to reject any proposed Subcontractor or supplier for bona fide business reasons, including, but not limited to: the company failed to solicit New York State certified minority- and women-owned business enterprises as required in prior OGS Contracts; the fact that such Subcontractor or supplier is on the New York State Department of Labor’s list of companies with which New York State cannot do business; the Commissioner’s determination that the company is not qualified or is not responsible; or the fact that the company has previously provided unsatisfactory work or services.

  • Contractors All LAUSD Contractors and their Representatives are expected to conduct any and all business affiliated with LAUSD in an ethical and responsible manner that fosters integrity and public confidence. A “Contractor” is any individual, organization, corporation, sole proprietorship, partnership, nonprofit, joint venture, association, or any combination thereof that is pursuing or conducting business with and/or on behalf of LAUSD, including, without limitation, consultants, suppliers, manufacturers, and any other vendors, bidders or proposers. A Contractor’s “Representative” is also broadly defined to include any subcontractors, employees, agents, or anyone else who acts on a Contractor’s behalf.

  • Subcontractors The Contractor will not subcontract any work under the Contract without prior written consent of the Department. The Contractor is fully responsible for satisfactory completion of all its subcontracted work. The Department supports diversity in its procurements and contracts, and requests that the Contractor offer subcontracting opportunities to certified woman-, veteran-, and minority-owned small businesses.   • Third Party Contractors Tenant shall obtain and deliver to Landlord, Third Party Contractor’s certificates of insurance and applicable endorsements at least seven (7) business days prior to the commencement of work in or about the Premises by any vendor or any other third-party contractor (collectively, a “Third Party Contractor”). All such insurance shall (a) name Landlord as an additional insured under such party’s liability policies as required by Section 10.3.1 above and this Section 10.6, (b) provide a waiver of subrogation in favor of Landlord under such Third Party Contractor’s commercial general liability insurance, (c) be primary and any insurance carried by Landlord shall be excess and non-contributing, and (d) comply with Landlord’s minimum insurance requirements.

  • CONTRACTOR's Agents and Subcontractors To impose the same restrictions and conditions set forth in this Personal Information and Security Contract on any subcontractors or other agents with whom CONTRACTOR subcontracts any activities under the Agreement that involve the disclosure of DHCS PI or PII to such subcontractors or other agents.

  • HIRING CONTRACTORS The Owner hereby gives power to the Agent to contract, hire, supervise and/or discharge firms and persons, including utilities, required for the operation and maintenance of the Property.   • Third Party Vendors Nothing herein shall impose any duty upon DST in connection with or make DST liable for the actions or omissions to act of the following types of unaffiliated third parties: (a) courier and mail services including but not limited to Airborne Services, Federal Express, UPS and the U.S. Mails, (b) telecommunications companies including but not limited to AT&T, Sprint, MCI and other delivery, telecommunications and other such companies not under the party’s reasonable control, and (c) third parties not under the party’s reasonable control or subcontract relationship providing services to the financial industry generally, such as, by way of example and not limitation, the National Securities Clearing Corporation (processing and settlement services), Fund custodian banks (custody and fund accounting services) and administrators (blue sky and Fund administration services), and national database providers such as Choice Point, Acxiom, TransUnion or Lexis/Nexis and any replacements thereof or similar entities, provided, if DST selected such company, DST shall have exercised due care in selecting the same. Such third party vendors shall not be deemed, and are not, subcontractors for purposes of this Agreement.

  • Subcontractors and Agents Business Associate hereby agrees that any time PHI is provided or made available to any subcontractors or agents, Business Associate shall provide only the minimum necessary PHI for the purpose of the covered transaction and shall first enter into a subcontract or contract with the subcontractor or agent that contains the same terms, conditions and restrictions on the use and disclosure of PHI as contained in this Agreement.
