Contributions into a Retiree Health Savings Account (RHS. For employees hired into City employment after January 1, 2010, the City shall contribute 2% of top step Firefighter-Paramedic base salary into a Retiree Health Savings (RHS) Account and the employee shall also contribute 2% of top step Firefighter-Paramedic base salary into the same account. In the event an employee’s salary is not sufficient to contribute the 2%, no City or employee contribution will be made until such time as the salary is sufficient to make the contribution. This contribution will occur each pay period beginning the month after the employee has been hired.
