Conversion of Illness, Injury and Emergency Leave Upon Retirement, separation from service or Death. Any employee who shall retire, separate from service or die while employed by the District may elect (personally or by a personal representative, as appropriate) to convert accumulated unused illness, injury and emergency leave days to monetary compensation at the rate of 25 percent of the employee's full-time daily rate of compensation at the time of retirement, separation from service or death for each full day of eligible illness, injury and emergency leave up to a maximum of one hundred eighty (180) days. Any such conversion of illness, injury and emergency leave upon retirement, separation from service or death shall be in accordance with law, including RCW 28A.400.210 and RCW 28A.400.212.
