Common use of Cooperative Efforts Clause in Contracts

Cooperative Efforts. The Contractor, sub-contractor and Unions agree that they will not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, military status, predisposing genetic characteristics, age or marital status in any manner prohibited by law or regulation. It is recognized that special procedures may be established by the CM, the Contractor and sub-contractors and Local Unions and the New York State Department of Labor for the training and employment of persons who have not previously qualified to be employed on construction projects of the type covered by this Agreement. The parties to this Agreement will assist in such programs and agree to use their best efforts to ensure that the goals for female and minority employment if any are met on this Project

Nothing in this section shall be grieveable.
