Coordinate with Applicable Laws. The Union and the Employer agree to follow all Federal, State and local laws, regulations and guidelines with respect to the administration of all Leaves of Absence. Where the provisions of this Agreement are more favorable to the employee than those provided under law the terms of this Agreement shall prevail. All leaves taken under the terms of this Agreement shall run concurrently with any leave provided employees under Federal, State and local laws.

Coordinate with Applicable Laws. The Parties of this Agreement agree that the provisions of this entire Article 12 shall be administered so as not to conflict with applicable federal or state laws governing leaves of absence. Where applicable, leaves of absence granted under this Article may run concurrently with any applicable leave rights the employee may have under the Family and Medical Leave Act. Where the provisions of this Agreement are more favorable to the employee than those provided under law, the terms of this Agreement shall prevail.
