COPE Deduction. The District agrees to a payroll deduction program for voluntary employee contributions to the SEIU’s 1021 Union Committee on Political Education (COPE) subject to the following conditions: A. Voluntary deduction for COPE shall be withheld only if the employee so authorizes on a form provided by the Union. B. Employees may sign up, change the amount of their contribution or discontinue their contributions in writing, to the Union. The Union will send a copy to the Payroll Department. These contributions or changes will take effect no later than the second period after written receipt of the change in the Payroll Department.
