Common use of Cost of Uniform or Safety Equipment Clause in Contracts

Cost of Uniform or Safety Equipment. The University will determine standards of dress for the position or duties required. However, the University recognizes that standards of dress in the workplace constitute a mandatory subject for collective bargaining, and the standards that existed on the date of certification of the bargaining unit will constitute the status quo until such time as other standards are negotiated. Any uniform or safety equipment required by the University, OSHA, WISHA, L&I or other regulatory authority will be provided, at no cost to the employee.
