Common use of Court Appearance as Witness Clause in Contracts

Court Appearance as Witness. Time lost by an employee to give testimony as a witness in court shall not be charged against personal leave if such employee is subpoenaed unless the employee is named in the cause of action. The full rate of compensation shall be allowed for such services provided the check received as a witness fee is endorsed and made payable to the Board of Education. If the amount of the check from the court is greater than the amount of compensation due to the employee, the employee shall receive the difference.
