  • Court Duty Section 1. After due notice to the EMPLOYER, employees subpoenaed to serve as a witness in cases arising from or during the performance of their official duties, or called and selected for jury duty, shall be allowed their regular compensation at their current base pay rate for the period the court duty requires their absence from work duty, plus any expenses paid by the court. Such employees, so compensated, shall not be eligible to retain jury duty pay or witness fees and shall turn any such pay or fees received over to the EMPLOYER. If an employee is excused from jury duty prior to the end of his/her work shift, he/she shall return to work as directed by the EMPLOYER or make arrangement for a leave of absence.

  • Submitting False Claims; Monetary Penalties The AOC shall be entitled to remedy any false claims, as defined in California Government Code section 12650 et seq., made to the AOC by the Contractor or any Subcontractor under the standards set forth in Government Code section 12650 et seq. Any Contractor or Subcontractor who submits a false claim shall be liable to the AOC for three times the amount of damages that the AOC sustains because of the false claim. A Contractor or Subcontractor who submits a false claim shall also be liable to the AOC for (a) the costs, including attorney fees, of a civil action brought to recover any of those penalties or damages, and (b) a civil penalty of up to $10,000 for each false claim.

  • Civil Penalty Payment Pursuant to Health and Safety Code§ 25249.7(b)(2), and in settlement of all claims alleged in the Notice or referred to in this Settlement Agreement, XXXX agrees to pay Three Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($3,500.00) in civil penalties.   • Jury Duty/Court Leave 1. Any employee who is absent due to a court appearance to testify on behalf of the school or who is subpoenaed to testify because of an incident which arose out of the employee’s being a witness to events at school, shall be granted paid professional leave upon the employee submitting to the Administration a copy of the subpoena as verification for the leave.

  • Court Duty Leave Any teacher who is called for jury duty or is a subpoenaed court witness shall receive a leave of absence to fulfill his/her civil obligation. The teacher will be paid the difference between his/her full pay as a teacher and compensation for jury duty or as a witness. Evidence of both services and remuneration is to be provided by the teacher. Court duty leave does not apply to employees who have a need to appear in court for personal matters or because of litigation against the school corporation.

  • Civil Penalty Payment Method Xxxxxxxxx shall pay the civil penalty by check, credit card, wire transfer, or portal, payable to CARB, using instructions provided separately by CARB in a Payment Transmittal Form. Xxxxxxxxx is responsible for all payment processing fees. Payments shall be accompanied by the Payment Transmittal Form to ensure proper application. CARB shall deposit the civil penalty amount into the Air Pollution Control Fund for the purpose of carrying out CARB’s duties and functions to ensure the integrity of its air pollution control programs. Should payment instructions change, CARB will provide notice to Xxxxxxxxx in accordance with Paragraph 12 (Notices).

  • Emergency Call Back Employees called back by the District in emergency situations shall be guaranteed four (4) hours work, or equivalent compensatory time off, or salary compensation as mutually agreed by the District and the employee.

  • WASHINGTON’S STATEWIDE PAYEE DESK Contractor represents and warrants that Contractor is registered with Washington’s Statewide Payee Desk, which registration is a condition to payment.

  • Call Back Where employees are called back to work after having completed a regular shift, and prior to the commencement of their next regular shift, they shall receive a minimum of four (4) hours of work or four (4) hours pay at the rate of time and one-half (1-1/2) their regular hourly earnings. Superior provisions shall remain.

  • Civil Penalties The contractor and its subcontractors and suppliers who are indemnified under the provisions of this clause are subject to civil penalties, pursuant to section 234A of the Act, for violations of applicable DOE nuclear- safety related rules, regulations, or orders. If the contractor is a not-for-profit contractor, as defined by section 234Ad.(2), the total amount of civil penalties paid shall not exceed the total amount of fees paid within any 1-year period (as determined by the Secretary) under this contract.
