Shift Extensions. 1.6.1 Shift extensions for all personnel will be worked in accordance with operational, maintenance and skill requirements.
1.6.2 An extension will be notified at the commencement of the last break and may be cancelled only by notification up to one hour before the extension is to occur. In the case of a four hour shift, notification will be provided no later than one hour prior to the end of the shift.
Shift Extensions. Shift extensions beyond an employee’s regularly scheduled workday are paid at the employee’s overtime rate of pay or in compensatory time off.
Shift Extensions. To be eligible to receive call back pay, the reporting time must occur more than one (1) hour prior to the start of, or more than one (1) hour after the conclusion of, the employee's shift. Should the reporting time occur within one (1) hour of either side of the employee's regularly assigned shift, the time worked shall be deemed an extension of the shift and shall be compensated at the overtime rate and shall not be subject to call back minimums provided herein.
Shift Extensions. If there is an operational reason for an extension of a shift (i.e. before or after the previously scheduled start and end times) the Employer shall first offer the extension to employees by seniority, who are on shift and have the skills and ability to perform the work. If the Employer does not have sufficient volunteers to work the extension they may assign the additional work by reverse classification seniority to those employees with the skills and ability to perform the work. Shift extensions will not be overtime, unless the hours worked otherwise qualify as overtime in accordance with this Agreement.
Shift Extensions. Where it is deemed necessary to extend shifts on short notice, such extensions will be offered by seniority, subject to availability, to employees whose shift is ending at the time the extension is required by the Employer. This will not apply in cases where the extension of the senior employee(s) would result in overtime.
