Covered Or Concealed Work. If a portion of the Work has been covered, the General Contractor shall, if notified to do so by the Owner or a Professional, uncover the designated portion for observation and then replace it. 8.2.1 If the designated portion of the Work was covered contrary to the request of the Owner or the Professional, or to requirements specifically expressed in the Construction Documents, the General Contractor shall receive no additional compensation for the costs of uncovering and replacement or modification of the Construction Schedule. 8.2.2 If the designated portion of the Work was covered prior to a specific request by the Owner or the Professional that it remain uncovered, the General Contractor shall receive additional compensation for the costs of uncovering and replacement or modification of the Construction Schedule(s) only if the designated portion of the Work was in conformance with the Construction Documents.
