Credit for Time Served in a Provisional Appointment. 68. A provisional appointee in a permanent position who accepts a permanent appointment in the same class from a regular eligible list shall have his/her salary step in the permanent appointment based on the date of provisional appointment, provided the employee has served in the provisional appointment at least one continuous year immediately prior to the permanent appointment.
