Common use of Critical Incident Stress Clause in Contracts

Critical Incident Stress. ‌ (a) In the event an employee has experienced a critical incident while on duty, the employee may at the unit chief’s discretion be released from duty, for the balance of the shift, with pay. (b) The Employer will provide critical incident stress debriefing/ defusing to employees as required. (c) Employees requiring critical incident stress debriefing/defusing shall suffer no loss of pay while attending CIS sessions.
