Critical Illness. Three (3) days per year, with pay, shall be granted in the case of a critical illness or accident to a member of the employee's immediate family as defined in Section 9.4.2. A statement by the physician verifying the need for the employee to be present with the immediate family member shall be attached to the absence form.
Critical Illness. On payment of a Claim under Benefit I, the cover will cease in respect for that Insured Person.

To facilitate effective management of the benefit plans described in the “Schedule of Benefits”, the Parties shall form a Joint Benefit Committee which shall review premiums, plan usage, renewal, administration and costs and may meet with the insurance carrier(s) from time to time to discuss the various components of the benefits described in the “Schedule of Benefits”. Any changes to the benefits coverage shall be subject to negotiations between the Employer and the Union.
