Curtailed Operations. 1. Curtailed operations may include early dismissal, delayed opening, curtailed working hours or canceled work hours for non-essential personnel. Employees are subject to USNH curtailed operations policy USY.F.5.3. 2. Employees who are designated as “essential personnel” will be so notified at their time of hire or as soon as practicable if this designation is determined after the employee is hired. 3. By September 1st of each year, the College will submit a list to the Association of employees or positions that are designated as “essential personnel.” 4. When operations are officially curtailed or canceled, employees who were planning or scheduled to work will receive their regular pay for time missed due to the curtailment or cancellation. Scheduled work time missed due to curtailed operations shall not be deducted from an employee’s personal/vacation or compensatory time. 5. Employees who were planning or scheduled to work, and requested the day off due to imminent weather conditions less than 12 hours before the College declared curtailment shall be eligible for their regular pay for the curtailed time. 6. An employee who decides, due to weather conditions, that they need to be away from work when operations are not curtailed or cancelled, will be required to use accrued personal/vacation time.
