Common use of Data Certification Clause in Contracts

Data Certification. 10.6.1. The Contractor must comply with the required format provided in the Encounter Data Transaction Guide published by HCA. Data includes encounters documenting services paid for by Great Rivers and delivered to clients during a specified reporting period, as well as other data set out in the Great Rivers and HCA Data Dictionary and Service Encounter Reporting Instructions (SERI). This data is used for federal reporting (42 CFR 438.242(b) (1)); rate setting and risk adjustment; service verification; managed care quality improvement program; utilization patterns and access to care; HCA hospital rate setting; and research studies.
