DEDUCTION OF DUES, ETC. (a) The Employer shall by the tenth (10th) day of each month mail to the Union, a list containing the names of all employees who have left their employ since the previous checkoff was remitted in addition to the names of all new employees hired during the preceding checkoff month. The Union shall then immediately send the Employer a current checkoff list based on that information supplied by the Employer. The Employer shall then deduct and remit the amount thereon. (b) Employees who commence employment after the first (1st) day of each month, for which the Union checkoff has been mailed to the Employer, shall have an amount equivalent to the monthly dues of the Union deducted from their wages and that amount along with the employee's name added to the Union checkoff before same is mailed to the Union. (c) All employees referred to above will be required to sign authorization for the checkoff of initiation fees, Union dues, fines and assessments, which may be levied by the Union in accordance with the Constitution and/or By-Laws. (d) The Employer shall deduct and pay over to the Secretary-Treasurer of the Union, such initiation fees, dues, fines or assessments levied in accordance with the Union's By-Laws, owing by the said employees hereunder to the said Union. Monies deducted during any month shall be forwarded by the Employer to the Secretary-Treasurer of the Union not later than the tenth (10th) day of the following month and shall be accompanied by a written statement of the names of the employees for whom the deductions were made and the amount of each deduction. The Employer is entitled to rely absolutely upon a certificate of the Secretary of the Union that such fees, dues, fines and assessments were levied in accordance with the Union's By-Laws. (e) The Union shall forward all authorization forms to the Employer. It shall be the responsibility of the Employer to take proper and due care of all authorization forms sent him by the Union.

DEDUCTION OF DUES, ETC. Section 4.1 It is agreed that all Union members shall maintain their Union membership in good standing for the duration of this Agreement as a condition of employment. Section 4.2 All employees hired prior to the date of the signing of this Agreement must, as a condition of their continued employment, authorize the Company to deduct from their pay on the pay day the Local Union's dues deductions are made, an amount equal to the Local Union's monthly dues for the duration of the Agreement as their financial contribution to the Local Union. Section 4.3 All employees hired shall, as a condition of continued employment, authorize the Company to deduct the amount equal to the Local Union's Initiation Fees in installments of twenty-five dollars (a$25.00) per month after the completion of the probationary period. This deduction shall continue until the Initiation Fee is paid in full. The Employer shall by Company agrees to remit such monies so deducted to the tenth (10th) day head office of the Local Union along with a list of the employees from whom the money was deducted at the same time as the Union dues are remitted. Section 4.4 The Company agrees, for the duration of this Agreement, to deduct from the last pay cheque each month mail to the Union, a list containing the names of all employees who have left their employ since the previous checkoff was remitted in addition to the names of all new employees hired during the preceding checkoff month. The Union shall then immediately send the Employer a current checkoff list based on that information supplied by the Employer. The Employer shall then deduct and remit the amount thereon. (b) Employees who commence employment after the first (1st) day of each month, for which the Union checkoff has been mailed to the Employer, shall have an amount equivalent to the monthly dues of any employee covered by this Agreement, Section 4.5 Notwithstanding anything in this Agreement, a person who is hired after November 1st 2008 shall be considered to be a probationary employee and he shall have no seniority until he has been employed for six (6) calendar months, in accordance with Company policy, at which time he shall become entitled to seniority dated from his last hiring with the Company. All employees with seniority dates prior to October 31st, 2008 shall be grandfathered and their probation period shall remain at ninety (90) days. The Company shall have the right to dismiss a probationary employee for any reason and such dismissal shall not be the subject of a grievance under Article 10 of this Agreement. Section 4.6 The Union deducted from their wages checkoff form may be (i) a Union provided form, (ii) a Company provided form, or (iii) a pre-billing method which shall provide a column for "Dues", "Arrears in Dues", "Initiation and that amount Re-initiation Fees". The Company shall each month add the name of each new employee hired on since the remittance of the previous checkoff along with the employeestarting date and the Company shall give an explanation alongside the name of each employee who appeared on the previous month's name added checkoff sheet for whom a remittance is not made for any reason. Section 4.7 Notwithstanding anything in this Agreement, a person shall be considered to be a probationary employee and he shall have no seniority until he has been employed for ninety (90) working days at which time he shall become entitled to seniority dated from his last hiring with the Company. The Company shall have the right to dismiss a probationary employee for any reason and such dismissal shall not be the subject of a grievance under Article 10 of this Agreement. Section 4.8 The Union will supply the Company with Initiation Deduction Authorization Forms, Application for Membership Forms and Dues Deduction Authorization Forms, all of which shall be signed by all new employees on the date of hire. It will be the responsibility of the Company to ensure that all completed Application for Membership Forms are returned to the Union. All forms shall be returned to the Union checkoff before same is mailed to within seven (7) days from the Uniondate of hire. (c) All employees referred Section 4.9 The deduction of Union dues shall be made from every employee including, but not limited to, probationary employees. In the event that a probationary employee fails to above complete his probationary period, Union dues will be required to sign authorization deducted from his final pay cheque. Section 4.10 The checkoff and cheque for the checkoff of initiation fees, Union dues, fines and assessments, which may dues deducted must be levied by in the Union in accordance with the Constitution and/or By-Laws. (d) The Employer shall deduct and pay over to the Secretary-Treasurer office of the Union, such initiation fees, dues, fines or assessments levied in accordance with the Union's By-Laws, owing by the said employees hereunder to the said Union. Monies deducted during any month shall be forwarded by the Employer to the Secretary-Treasurer of the Local Union not later than the tenth (10th10) day of the month following the month in which the monies were deducted. Section 4.11 The Company shall show the yearly Union monthly dues deductions on employees' T4 slips. Section 4.12 The Company agrees that employees who are off work due to sickness, injury and/or Workers' Compensation shall not have Union dues or initiation fees deducted from any General Holiday payment. Section 4.13 A seniority list containing the name and shall starting date of employees will be accompanied by a written statement prepared and posted in the office of the names Xxxxxxx Xxxxxxx area and Mississauga, once in each year on the anniversary date of the employees Collective Agreement on the bulletin board with sufficient copies for whom Stewards and Business Representatives. (c) All employees referred to above will be required to sign authorization for the checkoff of Union dues, initiation fees, Union duesfines, fines and assessments, assessments which may be levied by the Union in accordance with the Constitution and/or By-Laws. (d) The Employer shall deduct and In the case of a Union member being off through vacation, sickness or compensation on the dues deduction pay over to the Secretary-Treasurer of the Uniondate, such initiation fees, dues, fines or assessments levied in accordance with the Union's By-Laws, owing by the said employees hereunder to the said Union. Monies deducted during any month his dues shall be forwarded by taken off his first full pay following his return to work, provided that the Employer employee’s return to the Secretary-Treasurer of the Union not later than the tenth work is within one (10th1) day of the following month and shall be accompanied by a written statement of the names of the employees for whom the deductions were made and the amount of each deduction. (e) The Union Employer shall forward all authorization forms to record on each employee=s T-4 slip the Employer. It shall be the responsibility total union dues deducted and submitted on behalf of the Employer to take proper and due care of all authorization forms sent him by the Unionthat Employee.
