Common use of Deemed receipt Clause in Contracts

Deemed receipt. A notice shall be deemed to have been given and received: (a) if sent by hand or recorded delivery, at the time of delivery; (b) if sent by prepaid first class post from and to any place within the United Kingdom, 3 Working Days after posting unless otherwise proven; and (c) if sent by email (subject to confirmation of receipt of delivery) before 17:00 hours on a Working Day, on the day of transmission and, in any other case at 09:00 hours on the next Working Day.

Deemed receipt. A notice shall be deemed to have been given and received: (a) if sent by hand or recorded delivery, at the time of delivery; (b) if sent by prepaid first class post from and to any place within the United Kingdom, 3 three Working Days after posting unless otherwise proven; and (c) if sent by email facsimile (subject to confirmation of receipt of deliveryuninterrupted transmission by a transmission report) before 17:00 1700 hours on a Working Day, on the day of transmission and, in any other case case, at 09:00 0900 hours on the next following Working Day.
