Deferment or Interruption of Vacations. 38.15.1 Reimbursement will be made for out-of-pocket expenses incurred by an employee who, at the request of OPG, either defers an approved vacation or returns before the vacation has expired. 38.15.2 When an employee is called back from vacation or when an employee’s vacation is cancelled at the request of OPG, the employee shall receive premium rates of pay for all normal hours worked on cancelled vacation days for which seven calendar days’ notice has not been given up to a maximum of seven calendar days. 38.15.3 Deferred or interrupted vacation days will be rescheduled at a later date. 39 Statutory Holidays and Floating Holidays 39.1 The following days are recognized by OPG as statutory holidays: 39.1.1 When Canada Day falls on a Saturday or Sunday, it shall be observed on the following Monday. 39.1.2 When Christmas falls on a Friday and Boxing Day on Saturday, a half holiday will be granted on the preceding Thursday. The days of observance will not be moved. 5 Effective 2008 39.1.3 When New Year's Day falls on a Saturday, an additional holiday shall be granted on either the preceding Friday, or the following Monday. The day of observance will not be moved.
