Common use of Deficient Requests for Payment Clause in Contracts

Deficient Requests for Payment. The Division may disallow a Request for Payment, in whole or in part, in the event the Request for Payment is deficient. Examples of deficient Requests for Payment include the lack of required signatures, lack of required supporting documentation, computational errors, seeking reimbursement for unallowable costs, or questions concerning whether the reported expenditures are permissible under this Agreement and applicable law and regulations. If a Request for Payment is disallowed, in whole or in part, the Division shall return to the Grantee the disallowed Request for Payment and accompanying documentation, and will notify the Grantee in writing of the nature of the deficiency and what the Grantee must do to correct it.
