Definition and Breaks in Seniority. The termsystem seniority” shall be defined as the length of service of a regular employee with Employer. The term “facility seniority” shall be defined as the length of service of a regular employee in a facility. “Facility” is defined as a main campus and its satellites, if any. An employee’s seniority rights shall not be affected by a change of ownership or management of the facility so long as said employee remains in the employ of the new owners or managers. Facility and System Seniority shall not be broken except by discharge for cause, resignation for more than one (1) year, or leave of absence for more than two (2) years. The Employer shall post a facility seniority list in each building in a place accessible to all employees. Said list shall contain the names of all employees who have seniority as provided for herein and their respective seniority date.

Every reasonable effort shall be made to comply with such requests providing that replacements to ensure proper operation of the Employer's business can be found. Notice of the Employer's decision shall be in writing.
