Definition and Special Features (JIT Sample Clauses

Definition and Special Features (JIT. BBAC understands "just-in-time processing" to mean storage-free processing with a continuous flow of materials. Delivery by the supplier must occur (without assembly sequence) at least once or several times per day directly to the production buildings. JIT processing is applied as a parts delivery method for suppliers who continuously produce large parts with few variations in accordance with BBAC's daily need (in assembly line production). The supplier produces directly in a pre-existing semitrailer, transported by the shortest route directly to the Production of BBAC's plant with accordingly minimum stocks in the process chain. This requires consistently high process reliability in fabrication and transport at the supplier's end as well as high forecasting reliability for parts requirements. To ensure the process the supplier must plan a sufficient delivery buffer, which is to be agreed with BBAC, taking into account the frequency of delivery. Figure: Just – in – Time Processing
