Common use of Definition of a “Grievant” Clause in Contracts

Definition of a “Grievant”. For the purposes of this Agreement, the “Grievant” shall only be CSEA and its Chapter #596. No single employee or group of employees may grieve this agreement, unless they are authorized representatives of CSEA and its Chapter #596 and grieving on behalf of the union. This provision shall supersede Article 4 (A) (2) (that defines grievant) of the collective bargaining agreement.
