Definition of Certification. Certification shall be determined by the District based upon the Revised Code of Washington (RCW) and the Washington Administrative Code (WAC) and those regulations required for funding (e.g., special education, vocational). An employee shall be deemed qualified for a position if they hold the required certificate/endorsement. To ensure that the certificated employees recommended for retention will be qualified to implement the education program determined by the District, all certificated employees must possess valid Washington State certificates/endorsements as may be required for the position(s) under consideration.
