Common use of Definition of Class Seniority Clause in Contracts

Definition of Class Seniority. “Class Seniority” for supervisors transferred from the Technical Colleges shall be July 1, 1995. If a supervisor appeals their initial classification and their class is changed, their class seniority shall be changed accordingly. A Technical College supervisor who transfers, demotes or promotes to another class or Appointing Authority after July 1, 1995, shall have class seniority in the new class determined in accordance with the Master Agreement. Supervisors who are hired or appointed after July 1, 1995, shall have their classification seniority determined in accordance with the Master Agreement.
