Definition of Departmental Classification Seniority. Departmental classification seniority shall be calculated on the basis of uninterrupted service within a classification within a department. Where two (2) employees have the same length of uninterrupted service within a classification within a department, the employee first appointed or first named in order of appointment shall be senior.
