Definition of Hazardous Substance. For purposes of this Agreement, "Hazardous Substances" is defined to mean any substance, material or waste, including asbestos and petroleum (including crude oil or any fraction thereof), which is or becomes designated, classified or regulated as being "toxic", "hazardous", a "pollutant", or similar designation under any federal, state or local law, regulation or ordinance.
Definition of Hazardous Substance. As used herein, the term "hazardous substance" means any hazardous or toxic substance, material or waste which is or becomes regulated by any local governmental authority, the State of Wisconsin or the United States Government. (42 U.S.C. ss.6903); (g) defined as a "hazardous substance" pursuant to ss.101 of the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act, 42 U.S.C. ss.9601, et. seq., as amended by the Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act of 1986, 42 U.S.C. ss.9601, et. seq.; (h) polychlorobiphenyls; (i) solvents such as trichloroethylene and trichioroethane; (j) pesticides; or (k) "hazardous substances" as defined under the Clean Water Act, 33 U.S.C. ss.1251, et. seq.
