DEFINITION OF SERVICE CATEGORIES. 14 A. Emergency Service shall mean any sudden or serious illness or injury requiring immediate 15 medical attention, where delay in providing such services may aggravate the medical condition or cause 16 the loss of life. Emergency Service shall be determined by the requesting agency and communicated to 17 the CONTRACTOR at the time of the request for service. 18 1. Performance Requirements 19 a. CONTRACTOR must arrive on site as quickly as possible and in no event longer than 20 thirty (30) minutes; provided, however, that where the service is provided to Persons described in 21 Paragraph IV to this Exhibit A to the Contract, the requesting agency may permit a forty-five (45) 22 minute response time when the incident is unaccompanied by any life-threatening medical emergency.
