DEPARTMENT HANDBOOKS. When needed or desired, a department handbook may be written by a committee of no more than three (3) administrators (to be selected by the Superintendent) and no more than two (2) support employees (to be selected by ESPM). The handbook will be subject to approval by the Superintendent. This handbook shall establish rules, regulations, and guidelines for the department, but SHALL NOT establish anything dealing with support employee wages, hours, fringe benefits nor other terms and conditions of employment.

  • Department Heads A. Department Heads shall not be required to act as the school disciplinarians.

An employee who has a positive alcohol test and/or a positive controlled substance test may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal, based on the incident that prompted the testing, including a violation of the drug and alcohol free work place rules.
