Common use of Design Verification Review Clause in Contracts

Design Verification Review. Consultant shall review existing District data, reports, plans, and other information regarding the site, and perform field investigations as necessary to become familiar with the site. To the extent necessary for Consultant to perform its Services, Consultant shall make an independent assessment of the accuracy of the information provided by the District concerning reasonably verifiable existing conditions (including but not limited to existing utilities and structures) and the adequacy of available design information/technical reports. Consultant shall rely on the results of its own independent investigations and not on information provided by District. Consultant shall conduct such further investigations of existing conditions as are necessary for Consultant to perform the Services and shall advise District of any further design or other services necessary to complete the Project. District will take the lead and Consultant will assist in soliciting, evaluating and executing agreements for information as described above. Consultant will assist District, particularly in defining the need for such information and its requirements upon which District may request proposals.
