Common use of Designation of Stewards Clause in Contracts

Designation of Stewards. The Union will furnish the State Employer with the list of stewards designated to represent any segment(s) of employees covered by this Agreement. On March 1 of each year, the Union will furnish the State Employer with a current list of stewards, specifying the jurisdiction of each xxxxxxx, or group of stewards, and shall keep the list current. The Union may designate up to 25 stewards as stewards of general jurisdiction within the local union’s area. The Union will notify the State employer as soon as practicable regarding any xxxxxxx changes. The sufficiency of xxxxxxx coverage, including the general ratio of stewards to employees and the geographic distribution of stewards, shall be a subject of continuing consultation between the Employer and the Union.
