Deviations from Seniority Regulations. Both parties acknowledge the statutory obligations related to seniority determinations. Any proposed deviations from these guidelines regarding the principle of seniority shall be submitted to the Associate Vice President for Human Resource Services, or a designated representative, and the local representative of the Union stating the reasons for such deviation. The reasons for such deviation shall be subject to grievance procedures of this Agreement.
