Overtime Pay. ‌ Overtime pay shall be paid to the employee on the next paycheque after the expiration of the pay period in which the overtime was earned except as provided in Article 16.6 (Compensating Time Off) below.

Overtime Pay. All time worked in excess of the basic workweek or the regular working day scheduled by the Employer, shall be paid at the rate of time and one half (1-1/2) the regular rate. Compensating time off shall not be given in lieu of overtime pay. A part-time employee working on more than five (5) days in one (1) week shall be paid at the rate of time and one half (1-1/2) for work performed on the sixth (6th) day. Time worked after 6:30 P.M. on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve shall be paid for at double time. All hours worked over ten (10) in any one (1) day shall be paid at double the basic rate. All hours worked over forty-eight (48) in any one (1) week shall be paid at double the basic rate. It is agreed that no one will be paid more than one (1) overtime premium for any overtime hours worked. When required to work overtime, an employee may decline if he or she has a valid reason. Such refusal shall be accepted provided there is another employee on the shift when overtime is required who is prepared to work the overtime and has the ability to perform the work required.

Overtime Pay. Employees shall be paid one and one-half (1-1/2) times their regular straight time rate of pay for all hours worked in excess of forty (40) in any workweek and for all hours worked on Saturday, and two (2) times their regular straight time rate of pay for all hours worked on Sundays. For purposes of this section, hours worked shall include all paid time including: sick leave, paid funeral leave, paid jury duty leave, vacation, and all days actually worked.

Before implementing a program which uses the above exemption, the District agrees to consult with the Union. 8.5.2 Overtime must be approved or ordered in advance by the appropriate supervisor. 8.5.3 Overtime pay/compensatory time shall be computed at the following rates: a. Hours worked in excess of regular forty (40) hour work week and hours worked on Saturday -- time and one-half employee's rate of pay. b. Hours worked on Sunday -- two times employee's rate of pay. c. Hours worked on holiday -- regular pay for the holiday plus double time for all hours actually worked on the holiday. 8.5.4 Unit members have the right to accept or reject overtime work compensated by either overtime pay or compensatory time off (CTO) offered at the discretion of the immediate supervisor. 8.5.5 Based on mutual agreement between the employee and the immediate supervisor, CTO will be taken within twelve (12) months of the date earned. If the appropriate supervisor does not approve the use of CTO within twelve (12) months of its accrual, the unit member shall be paid overtime. 8.5.6 The immediate supervisor will make every effort to provide the opportunity for unit members to use compensatory time as earned, (i.e., four (4) hours worked equals six (6) hours off at one time, not to be fragmented). 8.5.7 Unit members shall elect whether overtime work shall be compensated by overtime pay or compensating time off. If the member elects overtime pay, such pay shall be paid within thirty (30) days of the work.

Overtime Pay. All officers shall be eligible for overtime pay at the rate of one and one-half times their base rates for hours worked in excess of their scheduled shift or forty (40) hours per week. Hours not worked because an employee is on a holiday, using compensatory time, personal day, jury duty, salary continuation or vacation shall be treated as hours worked for the purpose of computing overtime pay. In the event scheduled overtime is cancelled without providing 3 days notice to the bargaining unit member, the bargaining unit member scheduled to work will have the option to work 3 hours overtime as scheduled; duties to be determined by Director of Public Safety or designee.
