Common use of Diabetes Education Clause in Contracts

Diabetes Education. In accordance with Rhode Island General Law § 27-20-30, diabetes education is covered when medically necessary and prescribed by a physician. Such education may be provided only by a physician or, upon his or her referral to, an appropriately licensed and certified diabetes educator. Individual and group sessions are covered.
