Common use of Differentiated Teacher Ratings Clause in Contracts

Differentiated Teacher Ratings. The Parties agree that it would benefit both the District and teachers if teachers were evaluated using a more differentiated set of summative categories than the current choice of satisfactory/unsatisfactory. i. The Parties agree that the Teacher Evaluation Committee shall be charged with the task of devising and recommending a teacher evaluation process that results in the differentiation of teachers and their various strengths and weaknesses across at least 4 categories. ii. The Committee shall make its recommendations on this issue to the Board with a copy to the Union no later than April 15, 2010.
