Common use of Directed Study Clause in Contracts

Directed Study. When requested by the Vice President, a member may teach a course as a directed study. In this situation, it is assumed that faculty must spend 1 hour per week with the student(s) who are earning 3 credits. Therefore, the conversion from contact hours (CH) to Lecture hour Equivalent (LHE) shall be: Example: The Vice President asks a member to teach a 3 credit directed study.
