Common use of Disability Allowance Applicants Clause in Contracts

Disability Allowance Applicants. The District may grant leaves of absence to any unit member who has applied for disability allowance, not to exceed thirty (30) days beyond final determination of the disability allowance by the State Teachers Retirement System. If the unit member is eligible for the disability allowance, the leave is extended for the term of the disability, but not to exceed thirty-nine (39) months from the date of approval of the disability allowance.
