Discussion with Supervisor. The grievant shall orally present the grievance to the employee’s supervisor within thirty (30) calendar days after the grievant knows or reasonably should have known the event or events on which the grievance is based. Within fifteen (15) calendar days, the supervisor shall give a decision to the grievant orally. Any agreement between the grievant and the supervisor shall be subject to the approval of the Department Director before it shall be deemed to “settle” the grievance.
