Common use of Disposal of Excavated Materials Clause in Contracts

Disposal of Excavated Materials. All materials excavated by the contractor shall be disposed off as directed by the Superintending Engineer . so as to leave the site in a neat condition. Material suitable for back-filling shall be used for that purpose to extent required to completely backfill the structure to the original ground level. Material Suitable for approach fills, and not required for back fill shall be placed in the approach fills. Material not suitable for back-filling or approach fills shall be disposed off as directed by the Superintending Engineer.
