DISTANCE LEARNING PLAN WORKDAY. The implementation of a Distance Learning Plan outside of the classroom benefits all of our students. They are more likely to be engaged in learning and learning can extend beyond the school building in rigorous, authentic experiences. Providing our teachers and students with the tools and supports they need to implement is critical to achieve the results our students need to success in college and careers. In the case of an emergency school closure, excluding snow days, a DLP will be implemented when a school closure is expected for more than three days of instruction. Snow days will revert to the snow day schedule when sufficient notice has been provided. (prior to the end of the previous school day) as defined below: Snow Days Workday • 8:00 – 9:00 am – Planning • 9:00 – 12:00 pm a) Greeting – Review and summary of the day’s assignments Synchronous (Live, w/the teacher via video conferencing)
