Common use of Division Membership and Activity Clause in Contracts

Division Membership and Activity. Neither the Department, City, or Union shall discriminate against any employee because of his or her membership or non-membership in the Union. Furthermore, the Department and/or City shall not discriminate against, retaliate against, or take adverse employment action against any employee because of lawful membership activity or for their seeking Union assistance with regards to employment matters nor shall the City, Department, or its employees discourage employees covered by this Agreement from doing so.
