Common use of DMV Only Clause in Contracts

DMV Only. (a) When a holiday falls on a Saturday, DMV offices will close on Friday, the observed holiday and Saturday (the official holiday). Employees will be paid up to eight (8) hours holiday pay in accordance with Article 58, Section 3 for the observed holiday, and will have their choice of using available accrued leave (except sick leave) or authorized leave without pay for the additional closure day. Subject to operating needs, employees may be authorized to adjust their work schedules during the workweek or be permitted to work at an office which is open on Monday of that week. Such schedule changes are not subject to the sixty (60) consecutive hours off within Article 90.3A nor will they cause any form of penalty pay.
