Cancellation of Vacation. Confirmed vacation requests shall not be rescinded by the Employer without mutual consent.
Cancellation of Vacation. When an employee's approved vacation leave is cancelled before he/she is due to commence such vacation leave, the employee will be reimbursed reasonable expenses incurred due to cancellation. The employee will make every reasonable attempt to mitigate any losses incurred and will provide proof of such action to the Company.
Cancellation of Vacation. Should the University be required to cancel scheduled vacation leave because of an emergency or exceptional operational needs, affected employees may select new vacation leave from available dates. Management retains the right to, with reasonable notice, cancel or otherwise adjust vacation leave periods. Emergency situations negate the need for reasonable notice.
Cancellation of Vacation. An employee shall be reimbursed for any financial loss actually incurred as a result of the cancellation by the Company of a scheduled annual vacation.
Cancellation of Vacation a) If an employee is on Short-term Sickness and Injury, LTD, Bereavement, or Compassionate Leave before vacation commences, said vacation may be postponed to a later date.
b) If vacation is postponed for reasons cited in 19.4(a), said vacation shall be rescheduled at the Employer’s discretion.
Cancellation of Vacation. 1. A pilot’s vacation period may be canceled due to operational requirements.
2. If a pilot voluntarily cancels his vacation at Company request, he shall be paid, not later than the following bid period, the CH value of the canceled vacation, not to exceed the balance in his vacation credit hour bank, plus an additional 24 CH. The credit hour value of the canceled vacation shall be deducted from the pilot’s vacation bank.
3. If a pilot’s vacation is involuntarily canceled, the following shall apply.
a. The pilot shall be notified of the cancellation in writing at least 30 days in advance.
b. The pilot’s vacation bank shall be increased by 24 CH.
c. The pilot may reschedule the canceled vacation period to a currently open vacation slot(s) or to a slot(s) held by any pilot junior to him in his crew position. The junior pilot’s vacation award shall not be impacted.
d. If the pilot is unable to reschedule the canceled vacation period as provided in Section 7.I.3.c. (above), the vacation hours shall be carried over into the following year.
e. Notwithstanding Section 7.I.3.c. and I.3.d. (above), the pilot may elect to be paid the credit hour value of his canceled vacation period, plus the additional 24 CH, in the manner provided in Section 7.I.2. (above).
Cancellation of Vacation. When an employee’s approved vacation leave is cancelled before he/she is due to commence such vacation leave, the employee will be reimbursed reasonable expenses incurred due to cancellation. When an employee dies after a period of continuous employment of not more than six (6) months, his/her estate shall, in lieu of earned vacation leave, be paid an amount equal to four per cent (4%) of the total of the pay and compensation for overtime received by the employee during his/her period of employment. Subject to clause 17.16 when an employee dies or otherwise ceases to be employed, after a period of continuous employment of more than six (6) months, the employee or his/her estate shall, in lieu of earned but unused vacation or furlough leave, be paid an amount equal to the product obtained by multiplying the number of days of earned but unused vacation or furlough leave by the daily rate of pay applicable to the employee immediately prior to the termination of his/her employment. An employee whose employment is terminated by reason of a declaration that he/she abandoned his/her position is not entitled to receive the payment referred to in clause 17.15 unless he/she requests it within six (6) months following the date upon which his/her employment is terminated. When the employment of an employee who has been granted more vacation leave with pay than he/she has earned is terminated by death, the employee is considered to have earned the amount of leave with pay granted to him/her. When the employment of an employee who has been granted more vacation leave with pay than he/she has earned is terminated by lay-off, the employee is considered to have earned the amount of leave with pay granted to him/her if at the time of his/her lay-off, the employee has completed two
Cancellation of Vacation. 1. The Company will make every reasonable effort to honor awarded vacation. In the case of unpredicted operational necessity, the Company will give at least two (2) weeks’ notice of vacation cancellation, if the circumstances leading to such cancellation are known sufficiently in advance. If the circumstances are not known sufficiently in advance, as much notice as possible will be given.
2. If an employee’s vacation is canceled by the Company, he will be paid one and one half times (1 ½ )for all hours worked during the cancelled vacation week and permitted to reschedule the vacation by selecting from the remaining available open vacation periods. If there are no such periods by the end of the calendar year, the employee will carry his vacation over to the next year. The employee will be given priority in choosing one (1) week of his vacation in the next year.
3. If an employee’s vacation is canceled and the employee immediately advised the Company that cancellation of the vacation will result in the forfeiture of deposits, the Company will reimburse the employee for all reasonable and actual non-refundable deposits made by the employee in reliance upon the originally scheduled dates. The Company may, at its discretion, require the employee to submit documentation of the forfeited deposits. Vacations will be canceled in inverse order of seniority at a station.
Cancellation of Vacation. When the appropriate supervisor makes it mandatory for an employee to cancel vacation, the Employer upon submission of receipts shall reimburse cancellation costs thus incurred.
Cancellation of Vacation. If a Pilot volunteers to cancel a scheduled vacation at the Company’s request, he shall be reimbursed for all verifiable non-refundable expenses incurred. Such Pilot shall also have the following options:
1. Reschedule his vacation to any remaining available weeks/days in the same calendar year.
2. In lieu of the above option, the Pilot may choose to be paid the full value of his cancelled vacation period at the rate of one and one-half (1½) times his rate of pay. Payment for this vacation will be made by issuing a separate check to the Pilot within ten (10) days from election of this option.
