Document and Property Loss/Theft. An employee is accountable for all government documents or and property in their possession and/or custody. Employees An employee exercising reasonable care will generally not be held responsible for documents or property damaged, (other than cash) which is lost, stolen, or stolen from damaged while in their possession and/or custodypossession. Determinations will be made on a case-by-case basis. Any determination which results in the taking of disciplinary, adverse, or administrative action finding that an employee is responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged property (including cash) may be addressed through the negotiated grievance procedure.
