Donating Employees. The donating employee may donate any amount of vacation or sick leave, provided the donation does not cause the donating employee’s vacation or sick leave balance to fall below forty (40) hours. For part-time employees, requirements for leave balances will be prorated.
Donating Employees. 1. The donating employee completes the donation form and sends it through the approval process to Human Resources. 2. Once approved, Payroll will use the date and time approved to track the donation. Donated leave will be credited to the receiving employee from donating employees in chronological order by the date submitted for approval and used only as needed. 3. Human Resources and the Fire Chief or designee must approve the donation prior to submission to Payroll for final processing.

Donating employees must retain a minimum vacation accrual balance of five (5) working days after the number of donated days has been subtracted from their vacation balance. 3. Donating employees must maintain a minimum sick leave accrual balance of forty (40) hours after the number of donated days has been subtracted from their sick leave balance. iii. Donating employees shall complete and sign a form approved by the College authorizing the donated hours to be credited to the recipient employee.
