Common use of Donors and Donations Clause in Contracts

Donors and Donations. A “donor” is defined as an eligible employee who donates one (1) or more days of sick leave to an eligible recipient. A donation shall be accomplished by an eligible employee completing a Sick Leave Donation Program “Donor Form.” Donated sick leave will be converted to hours. Donations to recipients shall be credited on a pro-rata basis (i.e., based on the number of hours the donor works). A donor may donate up to one hundred (100) days of his/her sick leave to an eligible recipient. Donations that are transferred to a recipient shall be irrevocable. Any donations of leave in excess of one hundred (100) days will not be transferred to the recipient and therefore will remain in the donor’s leave balance.
