Earned Vacations. (a) Employees hired before January 1, 1993 shall become entitled to vacation with pay as set out below.
Earned Vacations. Any additional annual vacation over and above that provided for above that may be gazetted by the Provincial and/or Federal Governments will be incorporated into this Agreement.
Earned Vacations. 20.01 With the exception of those employees hired on or after September 9, 1993, employees shall become entitled to vacation time with pay at their regular straight-time rate or the applicable percentage of weekly gross earnings (whichever is the greater) as specified in the following schedule, after they have completed the full years of service with the Company, which are set out in the left hand column.

Earned Vacations. As far as is practical to do so, the immediate supervisor shall make every effort to approve earned vacations at the times as requested, provided that it does not conflict with the operational requirements of the Residence.

Therefore, the employee’s vacation is not fully earned until the employee has worked to December 31 in the current year. Vacation is intended to be taken during the vacation year in which the vacation credits are earned. Employees will be credited for previous related experience for vacation purposes as per the following formula: • 100% credit for the first 10 years of related experience • 50% credit for time greater than 10 years related experience
Earned Vacations. Once an employee completes the probationary period, the employee will be credited 4 hours per month of vacation - until June 30th of the first year with a maximum of 40 hours retroactive to the original start date. Employees shall be credited vacation each June 30 as follows:
1. After the first year of employment through the sixth year = 80 hours
2. After the sixth year of employment through the thirteenth year = 120 hours
3. After the thirteenth year of employment through the eighteenth year = 160 hours
4. After the eighteenth year of employment = 200 hours
