Effect of Absence (Part-time. Seniority for part-time employees shall accrue for absences due to a disability resulting in WSIB benefits, or illness or injury in excess of thirty (30) consecutive calendar days. The rate of accumulation will be based on the employee’s normal weekly hours paid over the preceding qualifying twenty-six (26) weeks. A qualifying week is a week where the employee is not absent due to vacation, pregnancy-parental leave, WSIB, or illness or injury that exceeds thirty (30) consecutive calendar days.
