EFFECTIVE DATES FOR PROBATION. For the purposes of tenure, a full-time appointment which is effective on October 1, or prior to that will be considered as a full year of probationary service on July 31 next. Where the effective date of the initial appointment is later than October 1, the partial year will not count in the calculation of the probationary period. In such event, the probationary period will commence on August 1 following.
