Common use of EFFECTIVE LAW Clause in Contracts

EFFECTIVE LAW. If any provision or section of this Agreement is in contravention of the laws or regulations of the United States or the state, county or city where employees covered by this Agreement are employed, such provision shall be superseded by the appropriate provision of such law or regulations, so long as same is in force or effect, but all other provisions of this Agreement shall continue in full force and effect.
